- SCI - The Edison-Vine Sustainable Communities Initiative (EVSCI) is a comprehensive community development directive. SCI leaders are members of Kalamazoo's community, which means the members of Kalamazoo's community are the source of the SCI's agenda and the tools of the SCI are in the communities hands. SCI group is working to develop a strong collaborative that has agreement on how to make strategic investments in the Edison and Vine neighborhoods that will make the neighborhoods more able to create healthful enviorns, to foster educational achievement, and distribute economic power widely.
